Fun change….

Well it was time….I decided as I was sitting in the salon chair chatting with my hair dresser that I need a change, nothing real drastic since I have a pretty good bald spot at the nap of my neck, like 4”square LOL, so I left it long enough to cover up the baldness…I don’t know if it will ever grow back..???oh well

there is some weird lumpy hair bump from fluffing going on on the right side picture on top of my head ???LOL

You may not see the difference but, WOW I don’t sweat as much at night! LOL  4 inches makes a huge difference in the time it takes to get ready for work in the morning….4 inches took 4 years off of my face (well 3 people said it did make me look younger hehehe)….4 inches means I can actually feel a difference and feel “fluffed” and not “flat”.  It was this length last summer so it is really not a big deal…I guess.  But now I can tell….I need to loose some weight, that is where you see it first…right? in the face!

Now…enough of meme’s

On the way home a couple of weeks ago from smooching Kinlee march 2010 misc 2 173 at the pool while the kids (son and wife and other grandchildren) were having family night swimming, this is the I am almost going to cry look….

I came across a sign….I had to slow down because…

April 068

It says, Washington Meadows…”A great place to call home”

April 064

I think these goats thought so too.  I think it was probably their home first until some ole contractor decided to build there…

April 063

They were enjoying some fresh greens from the bushes….

Until some ole lady (ME)  jumped out of her car and hustled them back around the fence where they belonged and wouldn’t get hit by passing cars……

April 066

It was getting dark…and on these country back roads people just go faster than they should…

April 074

Except me of course…  I haven’t seen them out since…maybe someone tattled on them being naughty…or the farmer fixed their escape route!

Did I share my rainbow pics when it rained last week?

rainbow 001

I pulled over to get this pic to see if I could find the end of the rainbow…it looked as if it was within driving distance :)

rainbow 003

Yep sure enough there it was…my pot of gold, just waiting for me to get out of the car, get soaking wet and muddy and walk into those horrible prickly bushes and mess up my fancy schmancie shoes.. Now why would “they” put the pot of gold over there?  “They” must have known my shoes and work clothes would melt if I got out of the car….

rainbow1 001

so I drove on..and guess what..that dang pot of gold MOVED to some other place over the valley! right over by my house! (on the right)

Then it was gone….just like that…..gone…..by the time I got home.

OH I didn’t show you, I am into making something new again..besides the hats, I am making this very “HOT” selling headband.  Some clever person made a ton of them up and sold them here in town at a local little shop, everyone seemed to have one except me so I decided to make my own…They sell like “hot cakes”, and I can make them fast!

headbands 1 004

here is the front…

and here is the back, it just buttons..under or over your hair

headbands 1 003

But I like to wear them under your hair or your hair kind of bunches up….

Every color you can imagine and boy can I whip them out…heheheheadbands 1 005 headbands 1 002

There is a beautiful GOLD one that I really love…and the brown goes with everything, but my favorite …

headbands 1 006

Is this cute “camo” one that I think I am going to send to someone special…ERMA….(my niece) she hunts ya know, but always likes to look just right…hehe

Small, Medium, or Large…pick your size, tell me the size of your head and let me know a color, I would love to make you one! or two! or three! It is still snowing SOMEWHERE!

Well looks like I got a couple weeks worth of posts in just one post…I didn’t think I had so much to say!  Gotta love this blog stuff! (sorry the quality of the pics is so awful..I took these pics with my little “cool pix” camera.  Until next time….KEEP SMILIN!

Hugs and smiles across the miles……

Cute haircut - I know what you mean about being cooler. I have longish hair - a promise I made my husband - and I can't believe the difference just pinning it up makes!! Thanks for visiting my blog!!

So much to respond to! First, I LOVE the new do! Looks very cute and comfy for summer. :) The rainbow pics are beautiful (I love rainbows!); the baby pout pic is precious (my 7 y.o. was very taken with her!); and the headbands are SO cute! I would love one, but you know, you could open an ETSY shop and make money on these! You have to let me know what I can donate for your time and the yarn...

Love your haircut, it really suits you and I love the headbands. I would like a white one so let me know the cost. I know you had to buy the yarn and your time as well, it will be lovely.........:-) Hugs

You do look refreshed and lovely in the shorter style, Linda. So now you are out rounding up goats, after being told you weren't much help with those chickens at the ranch. Funny!

Your g/child's pout is extremely cute and the headbands are really nice.

I love your haircut!!! It looks so good on you! Isn't it wonderful what shorter hair does? I look at pictures of me before, and wonder, "What was I thinking wearing my hair long like that??" Shorter hair does take the years off! The only reason I can think of to wish for longer hair? Your BEAUTIFUL headbands!!! Sigh...Maybe I need to let mine grow just a little...;-) Those rainbows are spectacular shots! And the "I think I am going to cry" is simply adorable...I do so love your blog...And I love your spring background! Oh, and I also want to thank you (if I haven't already) for posting my button on your blog! You are too, too good to me!! That means so very much to me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Love you so much! Hope you have a wonderful few days! Love, Janine XO

I love your hair and yes it does make you look younger. Short hair does that. You have the style that I wanted but I just can't seem to be patient enough to let it grow out enough! And I would love one of those headbands. They are adorable!
The rainbow was really something, HUGE! You are a sweet woman Linda to wrangle those poor stray goats! Oh and that photo of Kinlee was priceless! Love Di ♥

What a post, Linda!!! Love your hair...it is very flattering!

Oh, those rainbows are gorgeous, but oh, so very sneaky!!!
;^) ;^) (They keep moving that elusive pot of gold at just the most inopportune moments!)
Love the pout...I'm about to get in on lots of those...
AND what a sweet good-Samaritan-goat-herder you are!!! (I've called the sheriff when there were cows on the road, but not gotten out to herd them...)
;^0
LOVE the crochet!!! SO cute!!!
;^)
With all that you accomplish, are you sure you're not Wonder Woman?
;^)
Hugs.

I knew that pot of gold was right where you live, Linda - isn't that usually the case? Your hair cut is very becoming - you DO look younger. When I was in Phoenix, all the old ladies (my age) had lovely colored hair. For an instant, I was sorry I had let mine go gray. But - I soon snapped out of it! Maybe I'll treat myself to a facial instead - do you think that could take 4-5 years off? Love those headbands! Do you wear yours when rustling goats? Where's Owen when you need him?

Love your new do! Every time I sit in the stylist chair, I want somthing diferent. Right now, I'm growing it out and as soon as it gets long...I'll want it short!
You could get a side job as a goat herder...you seem very good at it, LOL!
I can hardly stand to see the pictures of that precious baby...I think she is soooo adorable, I just feel the need to smooch her!
Love the headbands, you are a multi-talented gal!

I finally got here!!
Linda, I've been having such a hard time lately! I keep getting an error message on so many blogs! But I'm here and I'm determined to read back too!

Okay, now for this post, I LOVE YOUR HAIR!! And don't you feel the biggest difference when you go to wash it?! It's like "Where did my hair go?!"
I had two inches taken off at my last hair appointment, and I really need to take more off, it's so heavy and weighed down, but I usually like to leave it a little longer for the summer so I can pull it back and/or up for the pool.

I also love the hairbands you are making! Your talent amazes me! And my daughter-in-law still goes on and on about the hat that you made for Mia, and Mia still loves her little baby and bassinet so much! Really very creative, Linda!

Your photos are wonderful! Beautiful rainbow, BEAUTIFUL BABY, and great pictures of the goats too! And good for you, sending them home!

Great post!
And now I'm off to see what I've missed here!
Love to you,
Eileen

The haircut is great! It really does look great on you too - I could see in first glance that it lifted you - your face doesn't look as long as the old haircut made it look. It's a nice make-over for you! And I love your moving pot of gold! :) Great!

THOSE HEADBANDS ARE ADORABLE! I don't know my head size but I LOVE THEM! I wish I were crafty! I bet all my sisters and other family members would love them too! They WOULD sell like loaves of bread!

Thanks for dropping by my blog - I'm glad to find yours!

Love the haircut - I'm so envious, I can't pull of hair that short! And I would be so psyched if goats wandered into my street - though I suppose that's because I'm only on streets where that wouldn't happen.

OK. Love the haircut, love the rainbows and the goats. Love love love the headbands. Sheesh! The talent that runs through the Schippers women is amazing. Too bad I missed that boat. And as for head size? Normal? I don't know. But yes, please. Tell me how much and I will order on NOW! Also, I would require a picture of how to wear them, because, you know. I'm a little anal about doing things the right way. *smile* love you.

Wowie Zowie Linda Lu! You never cease to amaze me- such talent and skill should be recognized. I would like some headbands please- cause it is STILL SNOWING up here! Are you kidding me? April 30 and 2 inches on my front lawn this morning! My willow tree was weeping heavy to the ground she was so covered with snow! Sad....

Yes, I saw your hair on your profile pic changed! Anything to look younger, is good, right? I've gotto go to the stylist too, but I'm procrastinating, because I live in a new neighborhood...
the goats were cute:) And so are the headbands!

Very cute haircut! Why do we stick with hair that drags our (my) face down? I don't know. Just easier to pull back, I guess...
LOVE the headbands! Yes, you need an etsy shop! These are adorable! And when going out for a walk on a windy day, how perfect this would be to cover ears!
