I am always a little sad when I say goodbye to the girls.
This photo was taken at 30 thousand feet.
God reminded me (as I was all choked up) that with
each sunset, he promises a sunrise. I will see my
girls again real soon. I love you Natalie, Madi and Brookie.
Mom, Grammy, & Mema

WAS QUIET AND PEACFUL!

and with that said, the trip back to Greensboro with the help of sweet Maggie directing us.....
NEED I SAY MORE?

hmmmm, which detour should we take, shouldn't we go by what Maggie is telling us.....although the girls have been to the zoo on may occasions, EVERYTHING LOOKS THE SAME IN NORTH CAROLINA! lol, YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHERE YOU ARE GOING WITHOUT MAGGIE!

did I mention a sweet adorable husband who "knows where he is going even though everything looks the same around every corner!

the Magellen with a sweet voice telling you "where to go" and a pretty pink road
with a little yellow arrow, telling you "where to go" and a husband who
knows where he is going........

another beautiful long and winding road.......that is why man created......

AHHHH, beautiful North Carolina, every winding road, (The Long and Winding road) the Beatles song, sing it in your head now) every turn in the bend, leads to.......

Madison posed for this picture...miss glamore with her new shades, the zoo isn't new to the girls, they have a yearly pass so they go often, Natalie just didn't tell me that she usually picks ONE continent to visit....we did Africa and part of North America, then I was done!

The weather was not too humid where the moisture just drips off of you, actually it was pretty nice that day. With all the trees around there was plenty of shade to sit under.

We took the girls to the NC Zoo and what a zoo it is. It is sectioned off into several continents, the zoo is incredible....we first went to Africa, the lush greenery and hillsides were so beautiful, but to get from one animal to another you got your days exercise in! I was exhausted by the end of the day...it didn't bother Brook, she was in a stroller, and Madison is a runner....what can I say!

as you can see she had to get the last lick out of the bowl, ya I know BTDT you have all had the experience.....it never ceases to amaze me that even when the bowl is licked clean, it is never enough! . . . . yes there was a bath afterwards, hands arms and hair were covered in yummy sticky, gooey, batter. You go girl!

The fingers got into the bowl, you can see the beaters on the counter, plenty of cake batter on them, but not willing to share....

there is always something special about makeing a cake. Someone dibs the bowl, someone dibs the beaters, and someone dibs the spatchula. Guess who ended up with it all! After the spatchula got what it could.......

North Carolina Trip

Bob and I "had the pleasure" of watching the girls while Natalie and her hubby Brad went to Jamaica for a week! We adore the girls and it was fun. I know now why I gave birth at 18, 21 and 24! I had the energy then! Being a grandmother is (I am being honest here) the best joy ever and you love spoiling the grandkids and giving them everything they want....but....if they have everything they want...what is there left to give except......your kisses, hugs, and an occasional loving grandparenting discipline hahahaha. We had a great time, can't wait until next year!

Brooklyn is into the "Little Gym" and enjoys the balance beam, Bob built the girls one last Oct. when we were there, the girls are pretty good on it, fun to see maybe just maybe one of them will take after me! ( I just happen to have taken several state gymnastic medals in high school gymnastics in several competions). Balance beam and floor competion were my forte! Too bad there are no pics to actually prove that I even did anything. I guess mom and dad were not into taking pictures.

Natalie will get me for this one, she HATES her pic taken, I have to BEG my daughter to take her picture, (for posterity of course) this was taken at Easter at Brad's mom's in Maryland. L to R Brad, Natalie, Brooklyn and Madison.

Here are the two sisters. Love this one! And if you are wondering...NO Madison is not wearing lip gloss or any makeup, her lips are naturally red, (like Snow White) cheeks are always kissed by the sun and her eye lashes are LONG and BLACK, could we be so lucky!!!! (sigh)
Brooklyn had her Papa wrapped around her little finger. He doesn't mind though. It usually costs him (because I can't help shopping for the girls) special prizes but in return he gets lot's of kisses and hugs! Oh those Papa's and their girls......Princesses are a special thing ya know!

This is Brookiecookie. Bob and I took the girls to Zions park this summer. There is a sort of petting animal place, you buy a bag of "stuff" to feed the deer, elk, lambs, and Brooklyn is totally into it, she loves animals and it was very difficult to get her get rid of the food, (it stunk) (a very hot day) she just kept saying "OHHHH" and giggling because their tongues tickled her hand. It was a fun day, of course we shopped at the little stores and bought other "stuff".

This is my Brookie-cookie, when I was taking Madi-girls pics at the park she wanted to get in on the act and did some posing herself. I thought this was pretty cute...she is a clone of her mother at the same age (pretty scary). (sigh) I have such BEAUTIFUL grandchildren. Brooklyn (brookiecookie) calls me Mema. She tried saying Oma and it just kept coming out Mema so that stuck. I have 3 different names, that's ok....they are all so special to me!

Madi loves to dance, tumble, and basically have fun! We all went to the park and she is doing some crazy flips and tumbles here.
Ok bare with me...I want to introduce you to the "Crew" members, starting with the first and please forgive me...I am just a grandma smitten with my "Crew" can't get enough of them and you will be getting a gut full because....well....right now they are what makes me "me"!
Madison Lytle, very active in school...has been a cheerleader since she was 5 or 6 and is now on her middle school cheerleading squad. Is on the track team, loves baseball, and loves to pose for pictures......hmm can't imagine why? She loves to pester her little sister and adores her "grammy"

Summer Fun!

Oh I don't believe it! My first post! I just said to myself, "self" just do it, get er done, you will be a better person for ACTUALLY pulling it off! So to begin, (and that is a good place to start.....) I am beginning at the end! This summer because it is easier. This is my CREW! yes and I call them MY CREW because two people fell in love and created 3 people that fell in love that created "the crew"! Owen loves his chocolate thumb (will be 3 Oct. 3rd) brother Ryan (5 March 17th St. Patricks baby) Lauren (in Madi's lap, a 2 fisted binkie girl) will be 2 Sept. 19th, Madison (oldest) will be 13 Sept. 21st, Brooklyn (my little stink) turned 4 April 7th, Kyler (Brad's boy) same BD as Ryan! and Koltyn born March this year. It was crazy trying to get the kids to stand still for this. Now I have to try and figure out how to do the little slide show you all do........PHEW What an introduction! There ya go ya all! The CREW IN A NUT SHELL!
