A lot of HO HO HO!

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

rudolf

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known…...

ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost. santa

On another note……we made and I can honestly say WE….

reindeer 2

made a lot of candy and gift baskets to take to neighbors and friends on Saturday…it was so much fun…and so much work!

Huhoney was very careful and did suchcandy 001 a great job making pretzel clusters.  He actually makes them better than me! I am such a slob when I cook!

candy 010 He laid them out ever so carefully and sprinkled just the right amount of red and green on them!

What in the world are you doing Huhoney? “Oh I just had to water down the grass and shrubs, I put some special stuff on them…” hmm is that why the grass is so green and beautiful in Dec?  He never stops!  Did I happen to mention I am a lucky girl???

candy 019 candy 018 Huhoney even put the treats in little cute Christmas bags then filled the baskets with oranges and apples.

Forgot to take a pic of them too LOL.  PHEW well that’s done until next Christmas…it sure was fun!

Did I mention I was a lucky girl….Nah

BLESSED!

That's nice to know about the female reindeer Linda and it's nice to see Hubhoney in the kitchen helping with the candy making. I had Herhusband doing some shopping for me today and later he made a false bottom in a tub for me. I think we're both blessed with good husbands Linda.

All of your candy looks delicious, I'm partial to fudge though, especially fudge with nuts, but cashew brittle comes in a close second.

Have a wonderful Christmas Linda!

Wanda

Yummmyyyy.
I love baking and making candy. I have stopped doing it though becuase I end up eating it all day. I have no self control when it comes to sweets!
You must be a good wife to have such a good husband ;)

Hi Linda. That reindeer story is a hoot! All that candy! Would you be interested in adopting a 70 year old with a very sweet tooth?
And, yes you do have a husband that is one in a million!

Linda...what a blessed couple you are! I just drooled when I saw all the delicious goodies you both were making....uhmmmm. You go to a lot of time and trouble...and what a sweet couple you are to do that together. And a clean house when you came home from work! Wow..and double wow! Yep. You are a blessed husband and wife. Mistletoe time!
Hugs and smiles to you, Linda Lu.
Merry Christmas to you both.
Smiles and hugs,

You've both been so busy and everything looks so good! Wish I could sample some!

And it's seems so strange to see your husband out is short sleeves watering the grass instead of shoveling snow! Oh, this makes me long for a year-round warm weather climate!

Also, thank you so much for your offer of the hat, but insist on giving you something!
And after Christmas I will post a picture of Mia's coat and you can decide which hat you have that would go best with it (her coat is mostly brown but with other colors too).

I don't think I'll be posting too much now as I'm busy, plus a good friend just called to tell me that her Mom lapsed into a coma and I want to be available for her, she's at her Mom's bedside now and trying to decide whether to let her go or not, it's all just too sad.

But I want to wish you all the best for the New Year and have a very Blessed Christmas.
Love to you, Linda ~
