Just a few words…

First off, I just want to tell everyone how much I appreciate all of  your kind thoughts, prayers and well wishes on behalf of Huhoney and me.  Yes, they were felt.  ALL of them.  Huhoney is doing well, not all of the Dr. apts.  have been met yet.  He still has an apt. next Monday with the heart Doc.  To see if they think he needs to have the hole in his heart fixed.  Just a minor thing…(we  hope). aug 09 005 His leg is still swollen, that means that the clot is  still there and that his body hasn’t absorbed it yet.  But Huhoney is working on that.  He said he has talks with his body every day to heal and be well.  He misses not doing what he always does…and that is being a BUSY BEE.  He can’t wait to get out on his bike once again…..me too.

July Annie w Nat and girls 005I am looking forward to next week Wednesday when the girls arrive.  My sweet daughter Natalie and her daughters, Madison (now all grown up at almost 15!) and who I won’t recognize  because I haven’t seen them in a YEAR,  and Brooklyn ( age 6, and you know what that means…) will be here for 3 weeks.  Yes it is sad.  I will have to work for some of the time they are here.  But Papa will try and keep them entertained.  The pool will be opened and we will see shows and plays in the evenings.  We will be busy!  After last weeks hot temps of 106 degrees today it was a balmy 86 degrees.  I really am not sure what next week will be like.  Probably HOT.

About a month ago when I was up North for Lauren’s dance recital I drove home alone and stopped on Hwy 36 at a landmark that has been standing for….oh a long long long time.  I have always wanted to stop and take some pictures.  I imagine all of the kids that have stopped here and put their mark on this tall cement building.  In it’s day I am sure it was used a lot by the railroad.  Huhoney said it is a grain silo.  Or was for that matter.  Now it is just an old useless cement building.  Something people stop and wonder about as they pass it by.  I am sure if it could talk….it could tell some interesting stories.

It is a lonely sort of place this silo.  But for some reason it just attracts me and I am so glad I was able to stop this time and take these meaningless pictures…..

Have a wonderful weekend everyone….and thank you again for all your kind thoughts and priceless friendships!

LOVE, HUGS, AND LOTS OF SMILES ACROSS THE MILES….

I do hope your hubby continues to heal and become well again soon. It's always hard when you feel quite okay but just need the body to catch up. Sounds like rest and patience are the two best medicines. Hope the weather's not too hot (gee, 106 is HOT!)for your daughters/grandies visit. Enjoy!

Hugs, Joolz

I understand the coumadin now. It's because of the blood clot! My Ginny had a blood clot in her lung several years ago and had to take it too. She had to be tested quite often and had to go to a coumadin clinic. She doesn't have to take it anymore.
I am so glad your huhoney feels better and he will be doing more before ya know it!
That silo was an odd looking building. Kinda creepy!
I hope you have lots of fun with your girls Linda! Take lots of photos for us! Love Di ♥

Glad to hear Huhoney is doing well, Linda. Your daughter and g/daughters's visit will keep both of you in a wonderful frame of mind, nothing workd better at healing the body!

The grain silo seems other worldly...just a little scary and to think you were alone!!!

Hi Linda, So glad Huhoney is getting well and chaffing at the bit a little - keep that guy down though! Enjoy your Family visit but don't overdo (easier said than done!). I love all the silo photos - very creative. I especially like that far away landscape shot. It does look desolate there - my kind of place!

So glad your husband is doing so well Linda.....even nicer that your daughter and grandchildren will be with you for a while.
I love the old silos, we have a few them here on the prairie and one right here by the train tracks in Morinville......use to load the grain from there to the trains to shoip all over the rest of the country.....:-) Hugs

Oh, thank you, Linda for the update!!! I pray that the repair to your husband's heart is relatively easy and uneventful!! So glad that things are improving!

I love the silos...so glad you had a chance to photograph them and share them with us! They are tall and strong...even if they seem lonely! I like that.

Love the background on your blog, btw. It's so chic! Have a beautiful weekend, dear Linda! Love, Janine XO

Lindalu....what a rough time your husband has had. I'm hoping that he will be on the road to recovery and back to his 'busy bee' self very soon.
How exciting that your daughter and granddaughters are coming. I know that all of you will have a fannnnntassstic time! Enjoy every moment! I know that you will.
Linda...those photos aren't meaningless AT ALL. They are beautiful...and they speak to me. You did a tremendous job taking them.
Hugs and love to you, Linda.

I will keep both you and your husband in my prayers.
And he sounds like a typical male, the big concern being he wants to get active again! Good for him! I pray that will be SOON!

So glad you both have your 'girls' to look forward to! It's always nice to have something positive to occupy your time and your mind when things are not what we are used to.

I can see why you love that old silo, it does seem very desolate and lonely, but something about that spot is very peaceful too.

And, hey, your photography makes even ugly graffiti look pretty!

Love to you,
Eileen

Quit wasting time taking pictures of silo's and start knitting headbands...it won't be hot forever! LOL! Of course I hope you know I'm just kidding!
I keep your sweetie in my prayers and know that God is doing a good and healing work in him.

I came over from PW. Glad your husband is doing better. Thank you for taking pictures of these grain silos! I used to drive by two grain silos in Saginaw, Texas and think of how strong they were and how valuable the grain they stored had been, and how much work had gone on around them. I planned to take pictures too! Then one day we were driving by and they stopped us, all the traffic between the road and the railroad, and we watched them blow those silos up. It took two blasts because they had been built of such strong cement.
I was so sad to see them go. I hadn't even known they were going to blow them up and just happened to be there.
So I'm glad I got to see your pictures!
